Preparing for classes
  • Watercolor
    16 or 24 colors
  • Palette

    Plastic palette or glass plate

  • Round brushes with pointed end

Lesson 1
The theory of watercolor work
In the first lesson, we will analyze in detail, learn and do the following:
• find out what materials and tools are best used for watercolor illustration and painting;

• we will do important basic watercolor exercises to get acquainted with color and material;
• we will master the basic techniques of watercolor: wet, ala prima, glazing;

• let's get acquainted and analyze Itten's color wheel. Explore primary, complementary and opposite colors;

Apricot
We draw a simple shape of an apricot using the wet technique. We work on light and shadow.
Colors you will need::
carmine • golden • cadmium yellow medium • green
